Hospital Auxiliaries Association of Ontario (HAAO) There is a geographic regional structure, with each of the 12 regions having its own elected executive. The chairmen of each region provide an important link between the regions, their constituents and the Provincial Association. The Executive Committee of HAAO is comprised of 10 members - President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, Past President and 5 Directors (Business, Resource, Education, Regions and Students). These Executive members together with the 12 Region Chairmen comprise the Board. In addition there are the following subcommittees: Convention, Finance, Nomination, Resource and Registration. Benefits of Belonging HAAO member organizations and their volunteers can participate in various activities and receive certain benefits:
Membership All Ontario hospital auxiliaries & associations are eligible for membership in HAAO. Application is made by the executive officers acting on behalf of their members. On payment of the annual fee, the amount of which is based on the healthcare facility bed-size, the auxiliary/ association is recognized as a member in good standing, subject to the approval of the HAAO Board. Associate member status is also available for those volunteer organizations in facilities with no beds. Membership Application |
