The South Bruce Grey Health Centre Kincardine Auxiliary’s May Awards and Dessert meeting was held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. After enjoying a social time, Ginny Ross had the honour of presenting this year’s awards.

Lois thanked everyone and expressed what a great experience it had been. Liz Nurton then read a poem she had written about Lois’s achievements and the Auxiliary activities beginning 50 years ago. Lois’s daughter Shelley Pollock attended this meeting and Lois mentioned that she had grown up going to the many Auxiliary events.

Betty Johnstone Nancy Potter

The two SBGHC Kincardine Auxiliary Vice presidents were honoured and resented with HAAO pins. Ten year certificates and pins were presented to Betty Johnstone and Nancy Potter (pictured left). Lesley Edwards and Sharon Johnson have also been members for 10 years but were unable to attend.

Pat Emmerton

Five year certificates were presented to Pat Emmerton and Carol Collins (pictured left).

All of these ladies were also given lovely yellow carnations. Nancy Potter then presented a yellow carnation to Joan Threndyle and Shirley Marie Harris in appreciation for their help in the Gift Shop. These awards are very special in recognizing members for their volunteer hours with the SBGHC Kincardine Auxiliary .~ Submitted by Liz Nurton, Press Reporter for the SBGHC Kincardine Auxiliary
